What DealR stores
When you sign in, DealR receives your Discord user ID, username, avatar and the list of servers you are in. That is what Discord's OAuth scope returns and it is what the app needs to know which markets you belong to. DealR does not request your email or your messages, and it does not read channels other than the ones it creates for the market.
Listings and deals
A listing stores what you typed into the form: the item, the game, the price or what you are looking for, an optional description and the proof image you uploaded. It is attached to your Discord user ID and to the server you posted it in. Deal tickets store the two participants, the agreed terms and the confirmation state.
Proof images
Proof images you upload are stored so the listing can display them, and they are kept after the listing is closed or removed, because a proof is part of the record of a deal that may still be disputed. Ask us and a specific image will be deleted.
Who can see what
Listings in a server are visible to that server's members. If the owner has set the market to public, live listings also appear in the public market at dealrnetwork.com, along with the item, game, price, proof image and the server name. The public market carries no member identity: a listing there is attributed to the server it was posted in, not to you. Deal tickets are visible only to the two traders and the server's moderators.
What DealR never does
DealR does not handle payments between traders, hold items, or act as an escrow. It does not sell or share your data with advertisers. It does not read channels other than the market channels it creates, and it does not monitor listings in advance. Listings and members are moderated by the server's own staff; a server misusing DealR reaches us when somebody reports it.
Payments for Pro
Pro subscriptions are processed by Stripe. DealR stores the subscription status and the server it applies to. Card details are handled by Stripe and never reach DealR.
Deleting your data
Removing DealR from a server takes that server and its listings out of the public market immediately. The server's listings and settings stay in our database so the market can be restored if the app is added back. To have them erased instead, or to delete your own data across every server, contact us and the request will be completed within 30 days.
How long it is kept
A live listing is kept until it is closed, sold or removed. Closed listings, deal records and the proof images attached to them are kept as the record of a trade that may still be disputed, and are not deleted on a timer. Sign-in sessions expire after 30 days. Subscription records are kept while the subscription runs and afterwards for as long as tax and accounting rules require. Ask us and specific data will be erased.
Where it goes
DealR is operated from Australia and the market data is stored on infrastructure controlled by us. Three services necessarily see some of it: Discord, because DealR is a Discord app and posts your listings there; Stripe, which processes Pro subscriptions; and Cloudflare, which serves the website. Those are United States companies, so using DealR involves your data being handled outside Australia. DealR does not sell data, share it with advertisers, or use it to train anything.
Your rights
You can ask what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, ask for it to be deleted, or object to a particular use. Email the address below and the request will be completed within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with the answer you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au. If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Union, the UK GDPR and the GDPR also apply to you and you may complain to your own supervisory authority.
